Hyperion encompasses the influences of sci-fi media and an obsession with that of fantasy. The pieces are designed in a way to bring a fantasy alien kingdom into wearable pieces. The garments utilise their textures to reference that of modern architecture, a glimpse into a society on another planet.
Power dressing is something I believe isn’t restricted only to a tailored suit jacket or a high heel, it is something a wearer can feel by wearing a brighter colour, a bolder texture, and which socially creates the most impact: accentuating their silhouette. The avant-garde allows the wearer to transcend the limitations of mainstream fashion, those who feel unique from others or alienated from mainstream society can project this through their outer self as a rebellion. These designs encompass elements often seen in corporate wear such as accentuated shoulders and cinched waists, however are dramatised in order to bring attention to the wearer as a statement piece.
